Anjali, 10 years of age, had a genital abnormality at birth, His parents gave him over to the eunuch community due to the social stigma attached to the family, as a result of his abnormality. He is now adopted by Roja and Aswini. The expectation is that he will be castrated and initiated into the eunuch community when he turns 15 years of age.
